Job Description

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, lead nurturing, and inbound lead follow-up. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The SDR will work closely with the Account Executives and other sales team members to create a strong pipeline of opportunities for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach.

  • Conduct research on target accounts and industries to identify key decision-makers and develop personalized messaging.

  • Qualify inbound leads, ensuring they meet the company's ideal customer profile and criteria for a potential sale.

  • Schedule discovery meetings and product demos for Account Executives with qualified prospects.

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine outreach strategies, messaging, and target account lists.

  • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities, including calls, emails, and conversations in the company's CRM system.

  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified leads, meetings scheduled, and opportunities generated.

  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate leads.

  • Continuously improve sales skills, product knowledge, and industry expertise to stay competitive and drive sales performance.

  • Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on prospect responses, objections, and trends to inform future campaigns and strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably in a B2B or technology-related industry.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Outreach.

  • A growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Willingness to be persistent, resilient, and adaptable in the face of rejection and changing circumstances.

  • A passion for sales and a strong desire to build a successful career in the field.
